The Challenge We Tackled Together
Handwrytten's existing visual identity needed an update, and they needed both a website and application design that could handle the complexity of their service while making it feel approachable. The challenge? Creating a visual identity that made robotic handwriting feel authentic and trustworthy, designing an intuitive application flow for users sending anywhere from one card to 25,000, and building something that could stand the test of time.
How We Made It Happen
We created delightfully playful animated robot arms that appear throughout the site, showcasing the technology in a polished, professional way. We then designed the complete application experience, crafting an intuitive flow that guides users through card selection, message customization, handwriting-style font choices, photo uploads, and bulk sending. The work included front and back card customization, approximately 50 screens across desktop and mobile, and a flexible design system built to support future integrations—such as AI-generated messages—as the technology evolves.
What We Achieved Together
We built Handwrytten a brand and platform that's stood strong for over a decade—proof that thoughtful design has real longevity. The robot arm animations strike the perfect balance between showcasing their technology and maintaining warmth, and the application makes complex bulk personalization feel effortless. Organizations can now send thousands of genuinely handwritten cards with ease, and the system has evolved to include AI assistance for message generation.
